I felt inspired to create this t-shirt after seeing this FB meme post by my friend, Peter Baureiss, to whom this t-shirt is dedicated. 

"I cannot stress enough how important it is to find a like-minded tribe who believes in you so ferociously that on the days you feel like you can't, they remind you that you can."

I've discovered over the past few years that those I resonate most with are part of my soul family. We may not agree on everything, but, there is a home-like feeling that's indubitable. And depending on the kind of soul we share, we more often than not agree on our view of the world, above anything else. I've also discovered that both our lower and higher selves are moderated by one's soul, and so the mind and the soul are very closely linked as phenomena, if not inseparable. 

The word psychology, although today (as a mainstream institution) being preoccupied more with the "mind" than the "soul", is formed of the word "psyche", which originally meant soul, not mind... while the word "logos" has also been distorted (thank you Christianity for heading that onslaught). When I hear the word "psychedelic", for instance, I don't think of it as being "mind-manifesting", but rather "soul-manifesting". 

My healing path has forced me to be accountable for everything, and on the days that I'm having to process the past, some darkness in need of alchemy that feels too big for me, I sometimes gain the encouragement of those around me, like my partner, Samantha. That's simply because it's very easy to forget the light that we are in such a dark world as ours, and to be stuck somewhere... to be entangled in something that has us fall yet once again from grace. 

And so I've discovered that we do indeed belong to soul tribes, and that even if we agree with a lot, people outside my soul tribe might not have my back. And that's been proven to me countless times. At the core of it, it's only those within my soul tribe, those that do feel like home to me, that I can count on in the end, even if an idea or virtue like "trust" must permit space for the human condition... that is, its foibles and falls, its tests of integrity.  

Above and beyond finding ways to get yourself back onto your centre, soul-friends (or mind-friends, just to carry the point home) are a sure-fire way to re-establish poise, power, and a heart-centred stance.
